Costa Rica Flag United States of Central America. The flag with the red star was not long in use: 4 March 1824 Costa Rica adopted a new flag, being the flag of the United States of Central America. Costa Rica as matter of fact was now part of the United States of Central America. This flag consisted of three jobs in the colors blue, white and blue in the middle of the white stripe the seal of the federation.
On 2 November, in the lower track the seal of Costa Rica was placed so again Costa Rica had its own flag. Twenty days later, the seal of the United States of Central America, in the middle lane, changed, because a new constitution was adopted and the country was going to be called Federal Republic of Central America. This flag remained in use until 1840
