Cost Rica Flag Renewed independence

Cost Rica Flag Renewed independence. Meanwhile, Cost Rica declared itself independent in 1838, so the seal of the federation often was left in the flag. In February 1841, the United States of Central America officially dissolved, during which time Costa Rica had been recognized as an independent state.

Costa Rica used a white-blue-white flag (horizontal stripes) with in the middle of the blue track the seal of the country (not in the civil flag). This flag remained in use until 1842. In that year Cost Rica adopted a new flag, which persisted six years. This flag had the combination of colors blue, white and blue to the (new) stamp in the center of the white runway.
